The Baseline Emissions Inventory provides an assessment of greenhouse gas emissions within Nakuru County and establishes a baseline for climate change planning, monitoring, and mitigation efforts. The inventory supports the identification of major emission sources and provides evidence for developing strategies and interventions aimed at reducing emissions and promoting sustainable, low-carbon development. The document supports Nakuru County’s climate action efforts under the Covenant of Mayors in Sub-Saharan Africa (CoM SSA) programme.
